Bea specializes in providing individual therapy to women. Bea's therapeutic approach is compassionate and empowering. She uses a variety of effective and science-backed techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR), and mindfulness-based/somatic therapies. She assists women with overcoming negative thought patterns, behaviors, and self-esteem issues so that they can become the best versions of themselves. Bea's clinical expertise is in supporting women throughout infertility issues, pregnancy loss, pregnancy experiences, postpartum journeys, and early motherhood.
Eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR) is an evidence-based, gold-standard therapeutic approach that assists clients with holistically identifying, reprocessing, and healing negative memories, traumas, and deeply held negative beliefs. EMDR helps clients improve daily functioning, decrease emotional distress, and comprehensively heal foundational mental health issues. Bea treats a range of mental health concerns with EMDR including trauma/PTSD, perinatal emotional issues, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. Depending on a client's needs and goals, Bea can integrate EMDR into individual psychotherapy sessions as needed or offer EMDR as a stand-alone therapy.
Hello, my name is Bea. I am a board certified, licensed clinical psychotherapist (CT & NY) and I completed my graduate studies and clinical training at Northwestern University.
